Day 1 Saint Petersburg
You'll be taken on a tour of St. Petersburg, where you'll see the city's most famous sites - from the neo-classical splendor of St. Isaac's Cathedral and the geometry of the Palace Square, to the oldest construction in Saint-Petersburg - the Peter & Paul's Fortress and its Cathedral - the burial vault of Romanov family. After the tour, have a rendezvous with the Tsarina herself at the waxwork exhibition "The Imperial Family of Romanovs." Enjoy an elegant lunch in the restaurant serving traditional Russian cuisine.
In the afternoon, you'll visit the State Hermitage - Russia's best gallery of world art, one of the most prominent art museums in the world and definitely the main tourist attraction of St. Petersburg.
Day 2 Peterhof and Saint Petersburg
Discover Peterhof, St. Petersburg's most famous and spectacular Imperial Estate. Located on the seashore, the Grand Palace and park complex of Peterhof with its unique array of fountains is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world.
In the evening, enjoy the folk show, Feel Yourself Russian, in Nikolaevsky Palace. Discover traditional Russian dance and music throughout this wonderful evening! You'll also have the opportunity to savor in a buffet of delicious gourmet food and drinks.
Day 3 Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo)
Unlock the secrets of the Amber Room on a half-day tour in the magnificent baroque-style Palace of Catherine the Great in the town of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo). The Catherine Palace enchants and delights everyone.
Day 4 Saint Petersburg
Depart for your flight to Irkutsk.
Day 5 Irkutsk
Explore Irkutsk - one of the oldest and most beautiful Siberian cities. Irkutsk kept the spirit of 19th century Russian city and is famous for its wooden architecture. In the center, there are blocks of traditional wooden buildings with typical carvings. This is probably the only city of Siberia that has preserved its historic character - old wooden houses built without nails, decorated with skillful carving harmonizing with the splendid stone buildings of Siberian architecture. See the Spasskaya Church, the Epiphany Cathedral, the Polish Roman Catholic Church, the Okhlopkov Drama theater, and more.
You will visit the Museum of Local Lore, the expositions of which describe the history of the city, the natural wealth of the region and the cultural possessions of Irkutsk.
Day 6 Lake Baikal and Listvyanka Village
In the morning, you'll be transferred to Listvyanka Village, a small Russian settlement. The route runs through Taiga Forest. The village is situated on the shore where Angara River flows out of Baikal. On the way to Listvyanka, visit Taltsy Wooden Architecture Museum. The museum contains a variety of Siberian wooden izbas, churches and Buryat gers are brought together here from different parts of Siberia.
In Listvyanka you may visit St. Nicholas Church and the souvenirs market. You'll take a walking tour to Tshersky Mountain to see the beautiful Baikal Lake panorama before going to the Museum of Baikal.
Day 7 Lake Baikal and Circum-Baikal Railway
Enjoy a 2-hour boat trip with sightseeing at the Circum-Baikal Railway. Circum-Baikal railway was built more than a hundred years ago. There are a lot of beautifully constructed tunnels and bridges along the way, making Circum-Baikal a huge monument.
Day 8 Irkutsk
Go back to Irkutsk.
